Submission Guidelines
ETHNO-ORNITHOLOGY LETTERS (ETHNOLETS) accepts submissions in several writing formats. Authors should select one format only that best fits the context, purpose, and style of their contribution.
Before You Prepare Your Manuscript

For reflective pieces based on field experience, observations, lessons learned, and researcher/community engagement.
Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK)
For submissions focusing on traditional knowledge, practices, beliefs, and ecological understanding involving birds.
Citizen Science
For contributions based on public participation, community observations, local monitoring, and shared data collection.
Community Based Conservation
For work highlighting community-led conservation practices, local stewardship, and collaborative protection of birdlife.
Cultural Ecosystem Services
For submissions discussing spiritual, educational, aesthetic, recreational, or cultural values associated with birds.
Art, Music or Craft
For creative and cultural contributions involving bird-inspired art, music, performance, craft, or material culture.
Human-Bird Conflict or Coexistence Narratives
For accounts of conflict, adaptation, tolerance, coexistence, and lived experiences between humans and birds.
